For the Elvis Presley fan, there are many ways to memorialize him. He was beautiful in appearance and voice when he was alive. The memory is never as awesome as the real thing. But, for those who want to attend an elvis tribute san francisco is the place to find one.

San Francisco, CA is a magnet for tourists. See the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. Visit Fishermans Wharf. Take a ride on one of the charming trolley cars that travel up and down the hilly streets.

Tupelo, Mississippi was the birthplace of the King. He stayed there until the age of thirteen. He and his parents moved to Memphis, Tennessee at that time. His home, Graceland, is now a major tourist attraction.

The house and grounds seem to carry his memory. It was purchased as a gift to Gladys, his mother. He lived there till he died. There are gold records all over the walls. There is evidence of his taste in furnishings throughout all the rooms.

The mansion draws millions of visitors each year. On the anniversary of the day he died, there is a long line of fans who wait at the gate. They each carry a lit candle as they walk up the path and past his grave.

Since he passed away, there are stage shows, parties and other events held in cities all over the world. The week surrounding his death is called Elvis Week as if one day was insufficient. Many of these tributes are held in the Bay Area.

The Memphis Mafia was the nickname given to high school buddies who stayed with the King over the years to work for him. They now give one man show presentations talking about their years with Elvis. His backup band still performs too.

Profits from various shows are given to charities in his honor. Fans remember him singing Love Me Tender at the end of the movie by that name. A thousand years from now this icon will still be remembered.
