There is long history of people trying to break free from cultural biases. There were years that were not as kind and as open as it is now. People from different countries use to encounter racial discrimination, because often times most could not appreciate what they could not understand. Before it was hard to see the beauty that is found in being different, but now the world has slowly shifted to accept and love even though they could not fully understand. Lives were disregarded and people were treated unevenly, if one from this generation would go back to the past when the society showed utmost cruelty it would surely cause devastation and remorse.
There is nothing to lose when one would accept that no two things can be the same. And with that being said, culture will always have its own unique identity. Regardless, if it is fully accepted or not it cannot be altered nor can it be reformed.
Besides one does not need to change their belief, just to experience other peoples cultures, appreciation leads to respect. And respect if not everything, it means the most to those who are seeking acceptance and equality.
To see that no matter how big the difference is there is always something in common. For many who have experienced other culture, they would testify to the fact that there is always something interesting in every culture, something worth learning and something worth trying.
All these questions of why, what, and how to must are still questions unanswered. Could it be true that past paves way to the future. So was all that act of cruelty the universe way to create this present way of idealism and liberalism. And if that is the case what would come in the future to come. No one knows what the future brings, but one thing is for sure people must live in the moment and hope that if a future does come. It would be a future filled with acceptance, and understanding of the unique, and the diverse.
