One of my favorite directors in the game right now is without a shadow of a doubt, Quentin Tarantino. Few people exude cool the way that Tarantino does, and besides his incredibly distinguishable style of directing, he is an incredible screen writer. With a Tarantino movie, you know you are going to get top notch dialogue.
But which of Tarantino's films can be considered his best? The following films are what I consider to be his best.
The first movie I will mention is what you can call "an oldy but a goody." Of course, this is an "old" film relatively speaking, as Tarantino is still a young guy. Reservoir Dogs is the film I am talking about, and if you want to see a movie that captures his essence, this is it.
The story of the "The Bride", or Kill Bill as it is better known, has to be one of his best films. In my opinion Kill Bill: Volume 2 was the stronger film, just because it struck a better balance between fight scenes and story lines. Both movies are awesome though.
Tough to compile a Quentin Tarantino best of list without giving praise to Pulp Fiction, which is considered by most to be his masterpiece. This movie stars John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Ving Rhames, Samuel L. Jackson and Tim Roth, to name a few.
One film of Tarantino's that does not get enough love is Jackie Brown. This is an excellently executed script featuring a star studded cast including Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker and Bridget Fonda.
One other film that I absolutely loved was Inglorious Basterds. My girlfriend does not like many movies, but this one won her over. That is a good benchmark for me in knowing a film is great!
These are just some of my favorite movies of Quentin Tarantino, however in my opinion all his movies are great and worth seeing.
