You Will Be Pleased To Learn About The Short History Of House Music

By Ronald Santos

Music continuously changes over years and a few will notice how, like fashion, it does have a full circle. Most recently the music styles from the 1950s have been returning along with the 1990s style with vocal harmony groups and boy bands. Two types of music that have never really disappeared are house music and dance music. Both are consistently played in nightclubs throughout the Uk, whether those nightclubs are well-known, mainstream ones or just underground ones.

What some people don't realise is that house music was actually started in the 1980s in Chicago and it only slowly spread across neighbouring cities until it was finally heard all around the world. This style of music is definitely not a popular choice with many people and it can be very hard to get into the sound; it is surely nothing like its predecessor, disco.

House music has slowly used through the years and it is because of house that dance music was invented along with hard house and drum and bass. All the sounds are very comparable with a lot of synthetic sounds and a lot of bass but there are some very slight differences. Most people opt for only listening to the type of music when in a nightclub especially if they prefer to sing along with the music they listen to at home; house music hardly ever has lyrics and they can be very difficult to understand if they do.

The study of this style of music has become favored in schools all around the country since it has continued to develop into a wide variety of styles. It has meant that many children have been maturing listening and commenting on the music style and so have gained an appreciation for it. There have been others that have found that the constant, fast-paced beat can be quite useful when it comes to fitness training. There is no need to constantly alter the tracks when it comes to a slow song while the music has no lyrics that can be off-putting when attempting to train; many listeners state that they can simply turn off and 'just run'.

With the growing use of social media sites, more artists that write and play house music happen to be able to get themselves known. Sites like MySpace have the ability to download their tracks so that anybody can listen and it has helped to increase the population of listeners. Lots of people love social networking for this reason; either they can promote themselves or they can find a new band to listen to. It has also helped with those attempting to get into the music style because they can listen to a track and not having to buy a whole album. It saves a lot of time and funds, especially if the listener decides that that style of music is simply not for them.

House music and dance music are definitely not styles for just anybody, just like the pop or rock genre. Many people just have their very own choices in music genres and it can be really hard to leave that circle. There is no shame in not liking a specific style of music or liking certain styles, everybody is different.
