Two things hit me while watching the 2nd episode of Jersey Shore Italy. One, things don't change and two, its far more interesting the first couple times you watch it. In short , perhaps some of Jersey Shore is getting a pinch banal because it took a little longer to get into this episode than it has in prior seasons.
Normally the seasons kick off with a bang and you're hooked right in. Not so much in this season. The show starts with the Jersey pack being introduced to the task they are meant to do, which is pizza making. Only JWoww seems actually worked up to be making pizza in its place of birth.
Mike and Snooki's drama gets intensified a little bit. Mike appears envious of the attention Snooki gives to her boyfriend, which isn't anything greater than ringing him up a few times a day. But that doesn't stop him from pairing up with any random woman which will slip into bed with him.
More shockingly is Deena makes out with Pauly D at the bar one evening. And Pauly D doesn't seem to truly care. They tongue wrestle for a couple minutes but it is over as just quick as it started.
At home, Sammi falls into her usual routine of giving Ronnie her puppy dog eyes and in spite of the that fact that "Single Ronnie" is out and about in clubs, each bat of her eyes seems to draw Ronnie back in. They seem to circle each other caught in some kind of bizarre self-destructive spell that they put over each other.
The episode ends with drama yet to come, but whether it is going to be powerful enough to hold the attention of your average Jersey Shore audience is still to be seen. One thing is correct, you never can say what funny event is lurking round the corner with the Jersey 8, so I wouldn't count them out quiet yet.
