A very serious and intense TV series is Red Lights. You will really like it as much as we did. Maigret" written by Georges Simenon is the novel from which all came. Now we are going to talk about the plot. It is all about a marriage that is having a lot of problems and a really difficult car trip for the couple.
The marriage of Helene (Carole Bouquet) and Antoine (Jean-Pierre Darroussin) is not really working. Helene works in a very successful law firm. She is also a partner here. His husband is a insurance salesman that is a nondescript man. He seems to be very quiet and cool. His wife is a lot more successful than him and he is suffering from this situation. He is really keeping resentments inside him towards his wife. He does not seem to have them but this is the reality.
Helene becomes very upset when Antoine wants to stop at a lot of bars along the highway while leaving to pick up their children at a summer camp. She is really confused by the behavior of her husband. He starts to veer from sulking to an open enemy. He is also an alcoholic and is driving in a wrong way. The couple starts squabbling at a point where she wants to continue the trip without him. Antonie then does something really wrong; he confiscates the keys and let Helene wait inside the car at his pleasure. Helee is gone upon his return to the car.
This thriller is really cool because his mystery is great. Antoine's strange alcohol-fueled journey and the disappearance of Helen is something to think about. Antonie let his frustrations cloud his judgment. "Traffic Lights" is an invitation to study these kinds of situations in our lives. There is a point where Antonine picks up a hitchhiker and want to create a great and weird camaraderie with him.
