Secret Chambers Of The Great Pyramid

By Claudine Hodges

The great pyramid of Giza is one of the seven wonders of the world that still exists until today. The Pharaoh who made this great structure was of course the great Khufu who was known for creating pyramids. The interior of this place is splendid and is indeed very complex in terms of design. It was so complex that there are actually a few secret chambers of the great pyramid that were found.

Wayman Dixon was actually the one who discovered these shafts in the chamber of the Queen and decided to check if there were still rooms behind the walls. They checked both the north and the south shafts for any artifacts that may have turned up. Their discovery was indeed amazing because both shafts yielded two different kinds of results.

So basically, Dixon first dug up the southern shaft because he felt a chill and eventually found a metal hook that was found there underneath all the rubble. With this, he also tried digging up the northern shaft in which he was able to find a granite ball and also a cedar like wood piece. Of course they took back these relics to England and these relics were named the Dixon relics which eventually disappeared when they were both returned to mister Dixon.

Now it was because of this that another expedition was made in the year 1993. In the second expedition, they were then able to find two tunnels which were found in the northern and southern walls of this same chamber. The only problem here was that the tunnels were eventually blocked by some stone blocks that had to be drilled.

Now it was because of this blockade that a robot with the ability to drill was made to that they could proceed further. When they were able to drill the blocks off, they eventually found another room at the end but they noticed that the room was totally empty. Eventually, another group of archaeologists made another robot that this time, had a micro snake camera that could detect all the smallest details that could be found there in the empty room.

Now they first inspected all the walls and the entire ceiling of the area. When they checked the corners they were amazed to find some small red hieroglyphs that were written down there that were around four thousand five hundred years old. There were some stone carvings that were also seen there that were also dated around four thousand years ago.

According to most Egyptologists, these writings were actually symbolical writings that would tell as to why the shafts are there. There are actually some speculations that the writings are related to the sun. Of course many also disagree with this as they believe that the writings are related to the stars.

Until now, no one really knows why these chambers existed in the first place. Many believed that they existed for a symbolic purpose while others believed that they were there for religious purposes. Probably the only thing that could give some answers would be the red hieroglyphs that are written there.
