For thousands of years, different parts of this world have been improved through the aid of art. More often, it is utilized as a technique of narrating something to give humans the knowledge of how this planet and the lands were shaped. There are variety of forms to narrate a story. It could be in the form of writing, acting, dancing, making poems, or even painting.

Yet, a lot of the first men used drawing to create an illustration of what they had in mind that could result it legendary masterpieces. It really shows that the best way to depict the environment is through landscape painting. This is the reflection of what an person sees with his eyes.

Some may wonder why this type of illustration is preferable when illustrating the environment compared to portrait. This is because it always is greater in width which is a close reflection of the point of view of a human. Most individuals do not look at their surroundings from up to down. Rather, exploring the land by panning their heads for side to side.

Drawing in landscapes is most of the time a preference to artists because the imagination of a person with this technique is unlimited. Compared to landscape, illustrating in portrait is usually used to paint the upper part of the body. Although an artist is free to apply both forms, portrait paintings for scenery is not that satisfying.

Drawing landscapes has always been the best teacher for arts. There are so many colors the nature can offer. From mountains, trees, lakes to rivers, the infinity of subject matters is way out of an artist options. The light beautifully changes from morning to night. The natural ways of earth makes a person paint confidently.

Art is a freedom of expression. That is why an artist is not obliged to paint all the specific things in landscape. Depicting his surroundings can be done in so many ways. If being realistic with the craft is a burden, then an artist can always explore different styles like an abstract drawing that can be filled with significant stories.

Scenery illustration for instance. The number of options that could be used will inflict the artist stress and pressure while the light of the day is constantly changing. He can draw the things as simple as he wants because it was never necessary to draw a perfect view. If the illustration tells a story and is shaded with proper colors, then that is art.

This could also be evident today that landscape art was widely used centuries ago. Some are now placed in several national museums and some are sold at a very steep price. It will always be the best way to describe the beauties of this planet.

Regardless of forms, styles or techniques of painting, they are equally valuable with other art forms in the world. Made by the hands of diligently creative people for the purpose of showing the people what the world looks like. Technology can never replace its cost.
