Fog, precipitation and lightening tend to have negative impact on visibility of an individual.

Negative effects of both tides and currents are highly experienced in case, they are moving in directions, which are not the same. Under such cases, chances of you getting tired are extremely high. Moving across an area that is rocky is extremely challenging when the tide is low. Consider looking at condition of currents and tides before you start paddling.
