For instance, green comes from mixing yellow and blue colors while violet is from red and blue.

Tertiary are those that come from the combination of primary and secondary colors. For instance, you may combine green and blue to give a blue-green color. Complimentary are those colors that do not resemble one another. They include red and green, blue and green. Analogous colors refer to those that look alike. They may include red-violet and red-violet.

It would be best to comprehend certain words when it comes to color theories. Such terms include value, hue, and intensity. Hue is a simple word that is used by every layman to describe color. In other words, hue means color. Pink and aqua colors have high values while navy together with maroon have low values. Intensity describes how pure the colors can be. The saturation and brightness of colors is what is referred to as intensity.

It is possible for the colors to get affected by the temperature. Some colors can be regarded as warm and others cool depending on the temperature variation. Examples of warm colors include violet and green while cool may include red, orange, and yellow. The difference is that warm colors will always advance while cool ones will tend to recede.
