How Corporate Art Collections Have Helped Lesser Known Artists

By Michelle Howe

It is not private collectors and museums that have the largest possessions of paintings. It is companies actually that own hundreds of thousands of paintings. Corporate art collections started way back and it has continued to grow until now. In fact some of these companies donate their pieces to museums and lend it to to other entities.

These artists do not sell their works very expensive. They are very affordable for these companies that got billions of dollars in their coif. They are not taking advantage of these artists. It is the artists that priced their works.

The companies merely look for these artists, check up on their works and if they find something worth keeping, then they will buy it. That is how the transaction goes. Years after buying the piece, who knows it might worth another millions. Some pieces of work of an artist starts like that.

Either he be encouraged by it or share its feelings or language. The thing is that it has connected to the person who has looked at the painting. That is what companies are trying to do with paintings that they bought and hung in their offices.

These paintings can either reflect the mission vision of the company, their ideals, work values, principles, etc. They hope that when their employees see these paintings, it can inspire them to do their best at work, to show what they got best at work. This can affect productivity at work. An employee or staff who got inspired by the message of these paintings can significantly impact productivity in the office or at work.

It is important that companies choose the paintings that put in their offices. It should inspire positivity, dreams and productivity at work. If you hang pictures of paintings with sullen messages, that is not a good idea because it might rub on the mood of the workers when they get to the office. It is nice that what you see when you get to the office are paintings that promotes seeing the positive side of life.

There are paintings that can encourage employees to work hard as inspired by the scenes in the painting. There is a directory that you can find on the internet that lists about the greatest collectors of these paintings. These collectors are companies. You might be asking why would someone be interested in checking such a directory.

He becomes an instant celebrity making his works also famous and gets known to the public. You never know what circumstance could happen that would push the value of the artwork higher in the coming years to come. Some artists become popular overnight.

Others can take hundreds of years before their works get noticed. If you can really see or if your instincts tell you that the work of this artists is going to be famous soon, then take the plunge of investing in his works. Buy some of his works while it is still not so pricey. Corporate art collections incidentally have helped promote the works of smaller artists.
