Defining An Abstract Art Using Silk Painting Supplies

By Leanne Goff

Abstract art can look very carefree as it uses different strokes. An artist portrays a different story to each painting. It may look very simple but this is not the case. It is much difficult than regular scenery or portrait art. With this medium, you can not copy the idea from any picture or view. Once the artist picks up his brush, he will picture what he feels and thinks at that moment. Silk painting supplies can be great tools to come across a beautiful picture.

In order to start with your craft, you have to order a canvas that is ready made from any craft store you come across. Choose whatever size you would want to start working on. If you are a novice, you may want to start with the smaller frames. This would be great for learning while having fun.

The frame will determine how you want to start and it is always ready to be used without any adjustments. Start with a blank slate or a colored design. Use a solution to add color to the background. Use a primer to add another design. This will eventually dry so you do not have to worry.

A board can be another alternative that you can benefit from. This is very cheap and you can use another type to use and spread out on a flat surface. It is a very useful alternative if you are limited to a few cash. Use a medium to even it out with just a few amounts that can be plastered in a huge way.

Check if you are comfortable using oil or another type of solution. There are those that do not produce any odor and will be good to work with easily. They are very easy to dry out and can be repainted over if you want to change it.

On the other hand, oils can be a complete opposite to other solutions. They are difficult to dry and contain a distinct odor. It will not allow the artist to put another coat on top of it. It can be very inconvenient to be used for experimentation.

If it is difficult for you to choose a color, take out the color wheel and rest it on top of your easel beside all your brushes. Pick the most basic ones and improve with the loud colors. This wheel will aid you determine the right colors that complement each other.

Before you pick up the brush, think of a specific object or a beautiful scene. Do not be specific on the details or the potential outcome just linger on the picture in your mind. If you stare at an object, do not limit your vision to how it stands but how it will look like to the audience.

If you have decided that it is done, stop right there. Do not overdo the art and improve it. The painting will show how the creator has inspired others based on how he ended the drawing. A lot of people will come and explain a different interpretation about it. Silk painting supplies are useful mediums to color a different scene.
