Regardless of pattern, line, texture, color and form, this particular art has more to it. However, in this article we going to touch deeply on patter and shape. The procedure to mix watercolors to create an analogous colors has been described below. Mostly, this procedure is used for personal watercolor painting whereby a variety of colors is used. In addition, the ideas of the decorator suggests the different shapes to be incorporated in the painting.

To begin with, draw simple shapes on the watercolor paper using the pencil. There are several outstanding shapes that can be used in this particular drawing but all will depend on what shapes you love most. They include trapezoids, teardrops, rectangles, circles and triangles.

Secondly, make some addition shapes which should be simple using a pencil. Try connecting the already drawn shapes with the new ones. In a way it can be confusing hence the two shapes should be distinguished from each other by use of different colors. Once you have drawn the simple basic shapes, use the watercolors from the tubes or the watercolors in a pan. Your choice will be determined by your budget.

Once the clear lid to the watercolor case lift up, the watercolor palettes are formed. The colors should be mixed once this happens. Behind the palette, use clear white paper as it helps to observe the colors mix. If you plan to reuse the leftover paint, allow it to dry once you through with the painting.

Next, by use of some small brush, choose a color. Select particular shapes on the paper and paint them with the color of your choice. Once done filling in a few shapes, pick another color, place it next to initial color on the palette. Then use a brush to mix the two colors. Here you will come up with a new color which should be used to fill in some more shapes.

Let take your first color to be red and the next one yellow, the resulting color will be orange after mixing. In order to lighten the mixture, add white color. Do not mix all the paint at once. Taking our example leave some orange and red as they could be used once more in the procedure. More shape are filled using the new pale, ochre color. Now that you have tried out red, orange and ochre, change to something darker. To get a darker color you will need to mix brown and red on the palette. The resultant color should be used to paint the remaining shapes.

These steps are vital in the mixing of the color on the palette and ought to be used. The mixture should later be used to fill in shapes till all are painted. Some take this as the stop but for those who are detail-addict can continue with repetitive designs.
