By Anthony Fernando

In our previous articles, we've covered a considerable number of different techniques to keeping your piano practice fun. We've looked at adding other instruments, organising concerts and many other suggestions to keep your piano practice fascinating.

Continuing on with this, you could:

Get Some Piano Software

Whether you are just beginning or have been playing piano for a considerable time, there's a bit of piano software thats best for you!

If you are only starting out, you'll want something that covers the fundamentals, like the simple way to read piano notes, where they appear on the keys and some good starter pieces to practice with.

More advanced players may need to look at software that caters for players of intermediate talent levels and above.

you may also get software that shows you where your hands should go, systems to utilise and also includes drum machines and backing tracks. Of course, the more it offers, the higher the price usually goes.

The best part is, you don't even have to leave your place to buy a lot of them. Many websites are able to sell and download piano software from their site!

Join A Community

In years gone by, folk who played and practiced instruments used to meet frequently and debate playing styles, ideas and have jam sessions to keep their music fresh and their practice engaging.

With the internet, this has made finding groups even simpler. There are numerous web communities that come together to chat about music, give guidance and share information regularly.

The great part is this has eliminated the difficulty of distance. Folks from all over the world can now take part and join talks being hosted on these communities.

Join A Band

Joining a band may be just the thing you may be looking for.

You'll be learning new music, jamming with people constantly and will keep you responsible for your practice. Nothing can incentivize you more than having people depend on your practice.

It should be noted however that you must give serious consideration before joining a band. This is a dedication to booking out time on a consistent basis and sometimes learning songs that you might not be so positive about.

So just make absolutely sure that you're a decent fit for the band and vice versa!

I am hoping this guide has given you several ideas to help to keep your piano practice fresh and satisfying.

Keep at it and good luck!
