Sometimes people do not need presents all they'd like to do is spend some time with you. Christmas is an ideal time to tug up beside the fire and breathe in a classic picture.

Black and white favs are essential at this time of the year, along with the more modern classics. This is only a short representation of some of the best Christmas films ever. Right, so here's what should ideally be on your top 5 list any Christmas.

A Christmas Story (1983)

All Ralphie wants in the entire world is a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. This 1940s family is hilarious. You'll love Ralphie's quarrelsome pop, his whiny bro, and his all-American mum.

Elf (2003)

It is a Glorious Life (1946)

No list of "Must See Holiday Movies" would be complete without this James Stewart and Donna Reed classic. Share this undying story with your youngsters.

The Santa Clause (1994)

Every youngsters dream is to go to the North Pole, but how many children can say that Santa is their Pa? Watch a reluctant Tim Allen become Santa.
