Tips to look great at an awards ceremony

By Mark Joy

While many celebrities are busy attending various awards function, you must also be wondering how they manage to look so great on these occasions. Well, if you think that they are just naturally beautiful, you are absolutely wrong because celebrities are people too and like us, they also have to work to look their best. Here are a few things that you can also do to look like a celebrity with glowing skin.

Acne and blemishes are probably the most common problems that can prevent you from looking great during an awards ceremony. So, start taking steps to clear up your complexion before the big day. There are various herbs and natural supplements that can help you get rid of these pimples.

For example, zinc capsules decreases the amount of natural oil in the skin that causes inflammation and scarring. Begin applying it topically or start taking it orally a few days before to ensure that acne is gone before your date with the red carpet. Similarly, vitamin A applied topically is very effective in treating acne, wrinkles, and pigmentation caused due to too much sun exposure.

A natural herb that is considered to be very effective for clearing up your skin is milk thistle. When taken as a supplement, it detoxifies the liver and eliminates toxins from the body. However, you also need to accompany it with a healthy and balanced diet that includes a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables.

A natural supplement rich in vitamin A and E is cod liver oil. Both these vitamins combine together to prevent pimples and spots and give your skin a natural glow. The vitamins present in cod liver oil also protect your skin from free radical damage, which means that it will prevent premature ageing by keeping the collagen fibers in your skin plump and taut.

Make sure to take special care of your eyes by avoiding going to too many parties before the award night. If you do notice your eyes to be swollen, use a cream to bring down the inflammation around the eyes and making them sparkle.

Your hair is another part of your body that will add to your beautiful look. Wash it a day before the big day so that the natural shine of the hair is retained. Use a spray to control any strands of hair that just keep flying away.

Don't forget to drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated and go for steam baths and sauna to detoxify your skin and body, making it smooth and perfect.
