Arabic Music, The Industry

By Mike Shimun

Arab Music Started in early centuries of 5 and 6 AD. Music was a very important part of culture to the people in those times.

Currently, music is found everywhere, homes, work shops and concerts. It's a part of everyday life. The major influencers of todays music are Samira Said, Nancy Ajram, Amr Diab and many more. They impliment current style music into their music to blend in with todays modern stylized music.

Amr Diab is by far one of the most famous and popular music artists in the arab world, known for many of his major albums, Nour El Ain, Awedooni, Amarain "Two Moons" in English, Tamally Ma'ak, Aktar Wahed, Allem Albi, Leily Nahary and many more.

Today, the music industry is struggling to make a big come back since piracy is such a big issue. File sharing and p2p have hijacked the worlds music industry, and there is'nt much that can be done about it. Sales have dramatically dropped for many artists and continue to til now.

The major sites that allow music to be downloaded are 6rb and 6rbtop which allow users to download full albums and mp3 files directly. These websites are hijacking the artists, and basically allow users to illegally obtain files, which have not been purchased or payed for, basically illegal activity.

Sites like bezmara.net or streamarabia.com are great websites as they focus more on the artists rather than the music files itself. They allow users to write about, and share thoughts through articles on the music industry and غاني mp3.

Bezmara.net allows users to sign up for an account which allows them to post reviews on albums, and share news, and also share thoughts on what's happening to the arab music industry.
