Children Auditions

By Steven Nelms

t can be discouraging trying to find the right kid audition for your aspiring star. Don't fret though, keep these tips in mind when searching for a kid audition.

Be sure that acting is that something your child wants to do. Parents will try to push their kid too hard to become and actor and kids will do it just to listen to their parents. Be sure not the pressure your child too much.

Keep your child's headshot picture on hand so that you can give it to casting directors. I would maybe get an agent to represent your kid so that you can find more jobs. Agents only get paid about 10=15% of your child's paycheck if they happened to find that job for you.

If you are asked to pay upfront some money for an audition or for casting directors to take pictures, tell them you have a headshot already.

Know that the acting industry can be very heartless and can make a kid jaded towards it. There may be a lot of disappointments and let downs. This is a great way to teach your child to never give up and to always keep trying.

Regardless if your kid got the audition and landed the role, that kid is still your child. Keep that in the back of your head so that you can keep your child's spirits up. Check out how you get into acting.

Good luck with your endeavors and hopefully your kid star will be the next big thing in show businesses. Always stay positive and keep on chugging along. As long as you are in the business of acting, you can try your best to get an acting job for your kid.
