Movie Auditions

By David Bronstad

To have a chance to have a starring role in a movie, you'll need to get discovered at casting calls for movies. Once you are a big name in the industry, you won't need to do any more auditions and instead producers and writers will find you.

You need to make a good impression when attending auditions for movies. Arrive at least 20 minutes to your scheduled audition and you will already be ahead of the pack. The casting director will know through your actions that you are serious about wanting this role.

Be as professional as you can and dress the part. Casting directors want to see how you can convey yourself for the role in the movie.

Take a look at the script if you have a copy of it and know it inside out. Casting directors may ask you to give them a quick monologue so make sure you have one and a backup one just in case. It helps to keep your skills up to date by always learning. Fill out this form to see open auditions for movie extra jobs.

Do your absolute best at your casting call for movies and know that you tried your best.
