The Delight Of Locating The Nicest Guitar Chords

By John O'Connell

Musicians are different than other people. They think differently, and they might even enjoy music differently. Creating, performing, and playing are special pleasures, no matter what style of instrument is used. A piano is one style of string instrument, but it's hard to bring it to a beach. A guitar, on the other hand, is portable, and it is not too difficult to learn how to find the right guitar chords.

Guitars can be picked or strummed, and various notes can be found with the fingers or a slide. Beginners often learn the basics by starting with a C, a G, and a D. Many blues players tend to enjoy the sounds of A, B, D, F, and E. Variations include bar chords, where one finger is placed across the neck of the guitar, and the rest of the fingers choose different strings.

Finger placement is fairly easy to learn. Songbooks and websites give simple diagrams, showing six or twelve strings on the neck, and dots where the pressure belongs. Note by note, a songbook will show where to place the fingers next. On the Internet, there are also links, and some teachers provide videos.

It doesn't matter what style you prefer. Blues, rock, jazz, R and B, pop, classical, and funk can all be played. How to find those just-right sounds? Many famous songs can be purchased in books or on the Internet, and if the diagram isn't there, the chords will be always be shown, and a simple chart can be located in many places.

When a person is watching a professional, they might think it's harder than it looks. It actually is not that difficult to play a guitar. With practice, it gets easier and easier. It might even start to seem like there's no thinking involved, and it's just about the hands.

None of the other arts, like painting or writing, can reach a person quite the way music can. Painters and writers don't usually perform for an audience. Also, for the performer, holding an instrument is different from holding a paintbrush or sitting at a computer. It involves the entire body, and it plain feels good.

The art of making music is fine, indeed. It includes learning how to play your favorite songs, and how to play songs of your own. This is surprisingly easy to do with a guitar. There is nothing else like finding the right chords, it's a special pleasure, and this is why musicians are different.
