Kids and 3D TVs

By Paula V Bateman

Every good parent wants their home to be the place in the neighborhood where their kids and friends want to spend a great time in a fun, family-oriented atmosphere. With a good supply of kids 3D glasses, a 3D HDTV and a Blu-ray disc player, you'll hit a home run right in your own home-and the kids may never want to leave!

The movie industry's best product houses-Disney to name just one-have continued to make state-of-the-art 3D movies for children since 2004 through 2011, and you'll see even more great kids 3D movie releases in 2011. What these leading production companies know is that kids of all ages find 3D movies fascinating due to three unique components: amazing 3D visual affects, thought-provoking stories, and unsurpassed voiceovers by A-list performers.

Just look at the latest Blu-ray 3D home movies this 2011 summer and fall that hit the 3D home-movie scene for kids wearing kids 3D glasses: "Gnomeo & Juliet" on Blu-ray 3D-A delightful twist on Shakespeare's classic, instead of doomed lovers from rival families, the two sweet kids are garden gnomes from rival gardens; "Mars Needs Moms" on Blu-ray 3D-Directed by "Back to the Future" director Robert Zemeckis, this is a heart-warming, hilarious tale in brilliant 3D technology; "3D Safari: Africa" in Blu-ray 3D-This isn't just kid stuff, as a world renowned tour guide takes you on an incredible Safari adventure, seeing never-before scenes of lions, leopards, hippos, giraffes and essentially every African animal you've dreamed of seeing on a real African adventure.

Note that for your children to experience the full HD 3D experience in your home, each child needs to wear "active shutter" 3D glasses or they will only see a blurry picture. This is where kids 3D glasses are a perfect fit. Kids 3D glasses are comfortably sized for children and come in fun bright colors for kids. Another great thing about kids 3D glasses is that they are identical to adult 3D glasses as far as quality and wear-ability. Adults who prefer smaller children's sizes may find that kids 3D glasses work best for them as well.

The 2011 holiday season will be here in three short months, with all the shopping madness that goes along with it. To simplify knocking out your holiday shopping list, Disney has released a fabulous gift for your kid's stocking: "The Lion King" re-release in 3D on Blu-ray 3D disc and DVD, available October 4. "The Lion King" now comes in second as the highest-grossing PG film of all time, while "Toy Story 3" in 3D still remains the number one highest-grossing PG film of all time.

So for your kids, for your family, for you-get ready for the party and have enough kids 3D glasses in the house. And be sure to take photos for the memories: those kids in 3D glasses grow up in a blink.
