By Claudia Campos

Do you have a passion for music? If so, you might enjoy spinning records and playing songs for others. If this sounds like something you would like to do, then you should learn to be a DJ because this career is a lot of fun.

A disc jockey's job is to play music for a crowd. They keep music playing all night and control the length of time each song is played. Their job is to keep the music playing and to add to certain songs by mixing them so they can sound unique.

Most Disc jockeys play new songs to appeal to the people. They play old songs too, but they keep up with new hit singles from artists. When you have this job you usually focus on how long you play certain songs. If you want to be good, figure out how long you will play each song before you start the next one.

Mood in music is very important. As a disc jokey, you want to play songs that fit the mood. Slow love songs for example should follow each other if the people are relaxed.

Learning to control music isn't hard. When you let a record play, scratch the record and make the song sound unique. Add to the beat when you feel like it and change songs when it's time. You'll be great at this with some practice.

If you love playing music for others, learn to be a dj. This job can be fun and you can get a lot from it. This popular career can get you some notoriety if you practice a lot.
