Tips In Preparing Music For Online Song Mastering

Preparing the music is necessary before one can do an online song mastering. When it comes to this, it is important that the music is already mixed before he start with the job. If he does not know how to mix music, it is best to research how to do so first.

If the person's songs are not yet mixed, he should make sure that they are mixed down to their stereo format. This is usually at 44.1 khz or 48 khz. In this, the 24 bit wav is the most popular one being used nowadays.

After that, he should decide whether to send the mixed tape to a facility who can master the tape or if he will do it himself. For the former, one has pay to up master the songs. However, personally doing it means the person will have to get a powerful audio editor with the necessary tools and plugins.

With the audio editor, he should bring the track into his DAW. Place plugins such as stereo field enhancement, parametric EQ, and master limiting plugins into the required track effects slot. Learn how to use these plugins well.

The person may need to bring out all of his talent in order to make a better output. Test the music out repeatedly until he achieves the best sound that he wants to hear. When satisfied, he should immediately render his output on a new stereo file.

Be sure to open the newly created stereo file to his DAW in a new project after. This time, he has to see to it that there are no clippings on the track. The clippings actually refer to those signal levels that go beyond -0.1 decibels.

After checking for any clippings, the track should be ready by now. The songs that have successful went through online song mastering become ready for distribution. He will only need to record the final music into a music video, mp3 or CD.
