General Information Related To The Grow Jamaica Movie

By Michael Obrien

The Grow Jamaica movie is based on a book, by the same name, written by a reverend named Leeroy James Campbell. Throughout his lifetime, Campbell, both wrote and published work. He was also an accomplished artist, designer, fitness and health guru, herbalist, and avid researched of ganja effects on the mind, spirit and body. He considered himself to be a servant of God, and lived his life teaching and counseling many people.

The theme of his non-fiction book and the documentary film is marijuana. This may also be referred to as cannabis, hemp or the ganja plant. Campbell examined the ramifications associated with legalizing the growth or of consumption of this plant in the land of Jamaica. This has been a topic of debate more recently, in many areas of the world.

The book is a short read. It includes less than 100 pages, but still includes many topics. It discusses the various uses for the ganja plant, which include, but are not limited to: fiber, fuel, medicine and food. It also looks more closely at its potential benefits. All of the information included in the book is based on research that is factual. As a whole, Grow Jamaica aims to give readers a different perspective, or more insight, into conspiracy that surrounds prohibition, plant history, and products the plant can be used to develop.

The movie is an entertaining and educational documentary that is an hour in length. It has been received with a lot of recognition since its official release date. Numerous film festivals have screened the movie. The film has even earned honors of Official Selection at the BFI Film Festival in 2006, as well as Flashpoint Film Festival in the year 2007.

The film addresses the medical, legal, political and economic implications that are associated with the legalization of ganja. It features appearances and contributions by some influential people in the Jamaican society, including farmers, economists, politicians, doctors, and law enforcement. Doctors Lampart and Bagga, Oliver Samuels, Leeroy James Campbell, Stephen Marley and Janice Campbell are public figures in the movie.

The book can be purchased through online shops and YouTube has clips of the film available for streaming. People who have been involved in creation of the book and the movie are encouraging people to support these things by spreading the word about them. In fact, there are advertisements, banners and even petition banners available on the film website that people can add to their own pages and websites.

For many decades, how to handle use and growth of cannabis has been a discussion topic. There are some people who are completely against it. Many of these people believe it is a gateway drug to other drugs, and that by legalizing it, there would be an increase in bad behavior and crimes. Contrastingly, supporters say that the benefits of legalization far outweigh the negatives. They see the plant for its many benefits, especially those related to health.

The Grow Jamaica movie is based on a book by reverend Leeroy Campbell. The theme of the documentary and the literature is legalization of ganja in Jamaica. Campbell includes factual information to support his argument. In recent years, there have been more debates regarding legalization of this plant. Grow Jamaica is meant to take a positive and progressive stance in favor of legalization.
