Superman the movie played a major rule in the development of science fiction and super hero genre films. This movie is sometimes called superman. The movie is developed from a comic with a similar name. The film was released into the market sometimes in nineteen seventy eight.
The movie starts on planet krypton where three surrectionist are sentenced to "eternal living death" whatever that means. Jor El a famous scientist on krypton advices the council that krypton would explode. Jor El fail in his attempt to advice the council of elders as the council rejects his claims as mere theory.
When his attempt to advice the counsel fails Jor El sends his son Ka El on a space ship to earth. Earth is the far planet that is viewed to have suitable conditions. This is in an attempt to save him from the explosion of krypton. Krypton eventually explodes destroying everybody in it. Ka El dense molecular structure give him super human abilities.
Three years later Ka El arrives on planet earth with the space ship. The space ship land in a town famous for its farming.The infant is taken custody by a local family. This family raises Ka El to adulthood as their own son. The family gives him the name him Clark Kent. Clark becomes an industrious young man who loves to work with his hands. He helps his parents with work on the farm.
Eighteen years after landing on earth, Clarks guardian father dies. During this period Clark receives psychic calls where he sees a green glowing crystal. These call compels Clark Kent to travel to the arctic. At the arctic the crystal builds into the fortress of solitude. The fortress resembles the planet Krypton. Inside the fortress Jor El, Clark Kent biological father explain to him about his origin. He teaches him about his calling responsibility and powers.
After twelve years since his arrival Clark leaves the fortress. He is aware of his origin, responsibilities and powers. He works as a journalist in his home town. When he meets Loise he starts to develop feelings towards her. Loise gets involved in a tragic accident. Conventional rescue operations are unable to save her this compels Clark to move in . He uses his super natural abilities publicly to save her.
After the rescue Clark flies Loise through the city and offers her an interview. In the interview Loise refers to him as superman. As all this unfolds Lex Luther a criminal genius plots to sink a great city. This he does so as to increase the value of his desert. Since he knows Clark will never allow it to materialize he lures him and exposes him to kryptonite. This greatly weakens Clark.
One of Lex Luthers aids rescues Clark from the kryptonite and Clark sets off in an attempt to rescue the world. While Clark is busy rescuing the world Louise meets his death from the after wave of the explosions. Clark becomes very dejected and sets of to turn back the wheels of time in a bid to save Miss Lane. This is in contrast to Jor Els teaching. A magnificent work of art has been done in Superman the movie.
