Selections for these particular kind dates from contemporary writers, early 19th century authors, to way back 12th century manuscripts. That is how long it has been around. This virtually gives you a whole library of books you can get your hands on.

Currently, the earliest literature of this category discovered belongs to medieval Japan. The book is called The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu. The movie Fight Club which starred Brad Pitt and Edward Norton was based on a book of the same title. The author was Chuck Palahniuk and his book came out in 1996. This work of fiction tackled a deeper psychological situation of personality disorder that will keep you interested until the end.
