The Different Sound That Kosmoratik Produces

By Agnes Franco

Music as heard today has since been considered something generic. Why, one can almost hear the same sounds being played on the air- only with different lyrics and sung by a different person. This is the reason that Kosmoratik wants to be different.

Known as a musical project, this is a group that is also considered as a recording, as well as a performing band. They are currently based in Oslo and have since been trying to introduce complex themes to their musical framework. This is defiantly one of the things that many music today lack of.

Certain people in the music scene have been considered by this group to have influenced them and the music that they are making. Among these include Nick Drake, as well as John Martyn. In addition, they have cited the Beatles as one of their inspirations too.

Most of the sound which kosmoratik produces has since been identified to be heavily influenced by first wave rock. This can be noticed in the heavier undertones that they tend to use with the kind of sounds they come up with. However, they are considered to be producing pop.

However, the groups can be more aptly considered to be producing sounds which are categorized as symphonic pop. This is often noticed in the use of multi instruments in the sounds they create. For instance, they tend to combine string quartet with oboe and with acoustic guitars.

This group has also been known to create a music that of considered forward looking. They have also been committed towards producing a sound that is considered to be fresh among its audiences. After all, they are intent towards honoring the memories of those artists which have significantly influenced them.

Kosmoratik has since been playing music for their love of music. Hence, in the music world where capsule formulas may be the main ticket to success, they strove to be different. Their first album has just been release and is called Gravitation.
