Grow Jamaica is the title of a book that was written by a man named Leeroy James Campbell. This is also the name of a documentary film that was produced based on this book. Over his lifetime, Campbell was known for being an accomplished artist, health and fitness guru, researcher of the ganja plant, herbalist and writer. He considered himself a servant of God and spent much of his time acting as a teacher and counselor for those who needed guidance.

The basic theme of the book and documentary is around marijuana, which may also be referred to as cannabis, hemp or the ganja plant. Campbell spent much of his time examining the consequences of legalizing the growing and consumption of this plant in his country of Jamaica. In more recent years, this has become a topic of debate all around the world.

The book is 84 pages long and includes information about the many purposes of ganja, including fuel, food, medicine and fiber. It gives readers a closer look at the many benefits of cannabis. Likewise, the arguments presented are backed up by factual information about the conspiracy associated with prohibition, plant history and products that could be developed from this plant.

The educational and entertaining film is 60 minutes long and has received much recognition since its release. It has been screened at several film festivals. The film earned the honors of Official Selection at BFI Film Festival in 2006 and Flashpoint Film Festival in 2007.

The film looks at the political, economic, legal and medical implications involved with legalizing this drug in this part of the world. There are appearances and contributions by many people from the Jamaican society, including law enforcement, doctors, economists, farmers and politicians. Janice Campbell, Stephen Marley, Oliver Samuels, Brother Campbell, Dr. Bagga and Dr. Lampart are among the public figures seen in the film.

There have been no official film screening dates listed on the website. However, there are many clips from the movie available on YouTube. The book can be purchased through online shops. Those involved with production of this book and film encourage people to support the cause by spreading the word. These are often the same individuals who feel that it will result in more crime and can lead users to move onto more serious drugs. Still, there are also supporters who see the benefits as outweighing the negatives. These individuals recognize the numerous benefits associated with the plant, especially in terms of medicine and health.
