Types Of Mens Cotton Drawstring Pants

By Patty Summers

There are many types of pants for males, including formal, tuxedo, denim and more. Some are built for comfort, while others are made for dressier or work occasions. One type that is definitely made for comfort and casual affairs is mens cotton drawstring pants.

Women's slacks have had a drawstring for years, but males had no such luck, unless they were a part of their uniform, like the bottoms that a doctor might wear. Fortunately for them, men's fashion has caught up with the times, and these types of slacks are widely available for both men and women. In fact, the amount of styles and colors that are being offered is increasing each year.

There are many materials to choose from when deciding on which pant type to purchase. There is silk for those who like luxury, polyester and knits just to name a few. One of the most popular though is cotton, because it breathes, is affordable and is easy to dye. This material also feels incredibly soft and comfortable to wear, even in hot climates.

Not only are there many materials to choose form with this type of pant, but there are also many styles. Cargo pants continue to prove to be a very popular type of bottom for men, and now they are available with a drawstring as well. This keeps them on the hips while offering plenty of extra storage space in the pockets that are sewn into the side of each leg. The pockets keep your belongings inside the pockets with the help of Velcro or zippers, though a few might use buttons as well.

If you enjoy a good workout, you might do your exercises in sweat pants, which are really a type of drawstring pant. These are usually used outdoors in cold weather climates, though some are used indoors as well. Not all of these are thick, however; some are made of a thinner material that make them wearable indoors or during warmer weather so you can enjoy the comfort in any weather.

When many males go to sleep, they do so in pajamas or pajama bottoms, which is another type of bottom with a drawstring in it. These can be made of a soft or luxurious material such as silk, or the stalwart breathable cotton that gets softer with each trip they take through the laundry. Some have pockets on each side like regular slacks, while others do not.

Make sure to try on several pairs before you decide which to buy, as different manufacturers might run their sizes a little small or large. The size you wear in one pant might not be appropriate for this type. Once you find the correct size for you, it's time to show off your snazzy style on the streets, or between the sheets if you are wearing pajamas.

Mens cotton drawstring pants have come a long way in recent years, which is a good development. Not only are they easy to wear, but they are fashionable as well, with several different styles available for just about any type of event and climate.
