Exposing students and children to cultural richness provided by music is an important thing. Music is an art that help express creativity. It has different styles that express emotions and periods. In the festival, the organizers choose a certain theme to be followed by students presenting their pieces. In other celebrations, focus is on historical music of an area, while others on types like polka and jazz. Choosing a theme for all groups helps them focus on one thing to entertain the attendees.

People should understand that these celebrations are not only meant to entertain, but also to help children. To start with, children get to learn different songs not taught in school. Competitions and various activities in these events either participated as a group or individually help students learn other skills they have not been taught in their schools.

Students also get to see different styles, instruments and choral arrangement they have not seen before. Therefore, it is advisable for parents and guardians to encourage their children to engage in these activities to get that experience. They should not tell them that it wastes time for schoolwork.

Children are also exposed to career opportunities when people get to see their talents. Popular musicians use such events to see young talented students and help them make money out of these talents. This is an easy way for students to get to this industry after completing their studies and show different talents they possess. It is through these talents that can help them have a successful life.

The festival allows children win prizes to appreciate their good performance. These prizes maybe musical instruments, which can help students, improve their skills. The event could also be source of money to students and schools through commercial booths. They sell food and products such as musical instruments and crafts to entertain visitors. In turn, they help festival earn some money if they are managed by the event organizers.

School music festivals have also been proven to have positive impact on disabled children.
