The Difference Between An Audiophile Speaker Cable And An Ordinary Wire

By Kendra Ware

Clients who aren't particularly enthusiastic about their entertainment systems often consider cables last, if at all. However, those who are passionate about their sound and image quality are usually highly opinionated about the best cables. An audiophile speaker cable enhances the sound system's sonic power and the speakers' clarity, and many with high end sound systems prefer their sound quality.

There is no perfect product for all systems. To find the ideal cables for the individual, it's necessary to look into product synergy. Products can only deliver the best results when they're used with brand-recommended systems. Designer approved context tells consumers which cables to choose for their individual needs.

Some consumers prefer to use a combination of different brands so that sonic signature is varied. Top end cables aren't the preferred choice for all audiophiles. There are some enthusiasts who prefer the sound quality of standard wire. Expensive wires generally have money back guarantees that allow clients to return the products if they can't hear a difference in sound quality.

It's usually difficult for consumers to hear the difference in sound quality delivered by high end products in a short space of time. It's better to listen to cables' influence for days or hours. High end cables can't perform miracles with low quality sound systems. Those who own inferior systems are unlikely to enjoy the enhancing impacts of high end cables.

Consumers who own high end entertainment systems demand sound precision and high definition at every frequency. The frequencies pertaining to base, treble and sound stage need to be supported by the cables chosen. High definition base and clear treble can be influenced greatly by the quality of cables used.

All wires deliver a different sound stage, and preferences differ among consumers. Some people like a holographic sound whilst others adore a more organic sound stage. For this reason, product reviews can come across as contentious. However, when consumers pay attention to reviewers with similar preferences to their own, they will have more success finding the ideal cables for their personal preferences.

Those who are enthusiastic about their entertainment often select each component individually, including the wires. High grade cables need to be able to cope with the complete speaker wattage, or sound quality will be degraded. Audiophile quality differs from wire in that the sound is enhanced and highly defined. These cables don't come with set standards or features. Instead, their label refers merely to their superior quality.

Many fans prefer solid copper wire cables, claiming that their sound delivery is superior. They enhance bass and treble. Some brands also clear away noise that is generated by monitors and speakers. Foil shielding is generally used for this. Some cables are designed purely to enhance the sound of subwoofers. Their design focuses on enhancing only these frequencies.

Those setting up systems outdoors need lengthy wires and customized installation. They require wires that are particularly weather resistant and able to work efficiently from underneath soil and in crawl spaces. An audiophile speaker cable cannot alter the performance of amps and speakers, instead enhancing the sound quality that is already delivered.
