Nigerian sensational artist Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo alias Dbanj is a singer, songwriter and a harmonica player. Daniel gained global attention with his song Oliver Twist which hit the U. K airwaves in 2012. His career has been on the ascendancy winning several awards since becoming professional. The talented artist has now set his eyes on conquering the world.

Mr. Oyebanjo who also has nicknames Koko Master and Skibanj had a number of successful years in Africa before gaining global limelight. He has already mastered four albums. The first three were produced by MoHits Records. The debut album christened No Long Thing released in 2005 was received well by local fans in Nigeria. This was a year after he became a professional Musician. Hit songs in the album included Tongolo and Socor. His second album called Rundown Funk U Up hit music stores officially in 2006. This album was also received well with songs like Move Your Body becoming very popular.

Dbanj officially conquered the African music entertainment in 2008. This was the same year that he released his third album titled The Entertainer. Fall in love track from that album was an instant hit in the continent. The song made extremely popular throughout the continent. Some of the popular songs in the album included Kimon, The Entertainer and Suddenly. Mr. Endowed was his fourth album and was released into the market in 2013. This album was produced by GOOD Music and Mercury Records based in U. S. A and Britain respectively. It had hit songs such as the popular Oliver Twist and Mr. Endowed tracks.

The artiste scaled to the top of African music industry in within a period of eight year coming from humble beginnings. The father was a soldier in the Nigerian military and the mother a dedicated Christian. He was being groomed to join the army having attended Nigerian Military School at eleven years and Nigerian Navy Secondary school.

Daniel became interested in music after his late brother, Femi Oyebanjo, introduced him to the harmonica. The growing interest led to a confrontation with his parents who wanted him to join the military. This part of his journey to success has been captured in the track All Da Way in his debut album.

The momentum he has gained has seen him win multiple awards in Africa and the world at large. The first award he scooped was the most promising category in KORA African awards held in 2005. He scooped two successive Artist of the Year titles 2008 and 2009 MTV Africa awards. 2008 saw him collect the three accolades in MTV Africa awards. The latest title in his list of accolades includes Best African Act in the 2012 MOBO awards.

The same momentum has also seen him sign a recording deal in 2011 with GOOD Music label based in the U. S. A. Other international recording companies that he has worked with include Sony Music Entertainment and RCA. His upward ascent has also seen him work with artists Kanye West, Don Jazzy, Big Sean, and Common among others.

Dbanj also takes some of his time to do some humanitarian work, apart from doing music. He is the biggest musical sensation from African continent. With his talent, dedication and work ethic, things can only become better.
