The Need for Trailers

By Katherine Kelly

Trailers are the best technique to evoke the interest of the audience and interest them into seeing the movie. Bollywood previews are important in the film industry and are given a place of their own. Even before the film gets released, trailers begin making their appearance during prime time TV programs, in cinema halls where other movies are playing, and nowadays, online too. In fact, a lot of reputed production houses have websites for the movie, which has songs, previews, other details and clippings of the film.

The previews are shown so as to evoke interest in people. Properly laid out order of scenes, interesting sequences and songs must be clubbed in a preview which could interest people. Since songs and music are a very important part of any Hindi movie, all Bollywood previews also have a healthy helping of these. As matter of fact, many fans of Bollywood films throughout the country eagerly await for a film to release as a song sequence or a scene in trailers, might have elicited the interest in the public.

Producers offer Bollywood trailers to viewers as a preview which includes some of the best parts of the movie. A Movie trailer show the audience, the interesting components like pathos, comedy and action which they will get to see when he watches the film. Some trailers often show central idea of the movie so that audience are compelled to visit cinema halls to watch the rest of the drama spread out. The audience also gets a look at the cinematography and format of the movie by looking at trailers. Trailers consist of with shots of beautiful foreign places and awesome camera work used in the movie that the producer displays. The overall making and feel of the movie can be shown effectively through these short duration previews.

Films which communicate a specific message in the end will have a trailer conveying the same message. This sets the stage for the producer. For films that are made around social issues, this method works very well indeed. If it is a serious social subject or a typical Hindi block buster action film, Bollywood trailers are an unavoidable part of the Indian movie industry.

Producers and film directors who understand their target audiences also know that skimping on the trailer could dampen enthusiasm for an upcoming film and subdue box office collections significantly. This is a reason why trailers are being created with greater care and even more diligence today than ever before.
