The Activation Of The Power Of Art

By Rosetta Drake

Many people in general do not know the impact of the power of art on the lives of many individuals. The education curriculum of many have excluded Art from it courses and has made it into a subject that could be ignored. This is, however, a means of activating the process of learning culture and humanity.

Art has the ability to create these experiences through the many media available, and has become a speciality in the digital world as well. It is the one aspect that can have an influence on individuals as well as the world in general. Many individuals can have this influence as many are in differing roles all over the world.

People in roles such as collectors, curators, scientists, artists and many others are able to assist in this influence. They offer a different way of looking at art in general. These influences can be seen form the beginning of time with cave wall paintings.

This discipline has a strong empowering effect on people that would span space and time. It does this through the meaningfulness of social connections. Stress relief is a part of the way in which this discipline can be utilized. It would help in refocusing the spirit, mind and soul. It would therefore set up meaningful social connections, mindfulness, compassion and above all creativity.

A new way of looking at things and a new way of thinking evolves and it would refocus the mind through the application of this way of expression. A combination of Science and Humanities in this way of expression has an influence, which leads to great effectiveness. It makes for the development of evolved individuals and new thinkers.

The most important part of art is that it can blur the borders between different disciplines. As mentioned already, is that Science and Art can become a way of expression. The idea that art has no real purpose is negated by the fact that artists continue to present works for people to look at and analyze.

The survival of man is in effect represented through this. The fact that man has always been motivated by the desire to create something is proof of this. There are always buildings being erected, paintings created, drawings made and one or another creative expression.

This somehow would prove the individual's value. The conclusion drawn is that the making of art has an important role to play in human survival. This is true in that it integrates many and varied aspects (and disciplines) in any individual's life.

For example, subjects can come from influences from different experiences of the individuals. When engaging in art making, the individual would be involved in the exploration of those integrations between how individuals evolve, their art and how they develop as individuals.

Conclusions, to make this valid, have been drawn by means of research. This was done in communications with artists, curators, scientists and many other people with collections, making art and studying art. The power of art is also about speaking to issues with cultural content and social content.
