The Life Of Movie Music Composers

By Melanie Adkins

Movie music composers give color to a show with a wonderful combination of melody, rhythm, dynamics and lyrics, these types of sounds help to convey the films message to the audience. This language has been evolving from the silent screen theatres with the piano and has increased to the use of huge orchestras these days. This is present in many different genres including horror, fantasy, romance, and even comedy movies.

All tunes has its specific syntax and vocabulary, and it is the role of a composer to refine the syntax and add to the vocabulary of the tunes to help in conveying a particular message and creating the mood for the film. This way the audience can watch a show with better understanding and with a greater experience.

A good composer has a very important role which is as much as the other people involved in making the film. The melodies help with the emotions that each actor is trying to convey on the screen. It helps to explain the inner feelings of a character and points out the important facts about the show.

A determining factor in the overall mood of a film is the melodies that are played throughout, and a director will give instructions on what he wants conveyed and how he wants the audience to feel when watching the show. This makes the melody during a show a hugely important factor and many people may not realize just how important this factor is.

What is sometimes difficult to get across through simple acting alone can be greatly enhanced with the use of a well placed tune. Many films are only memorable because of their superb soundtracks.

A good soundtrack to a film can be much more memorable than the film itself. So many movie music composers will put a lot of effort in to making sure that their work is of the highest quality. This can give them good recognition if the film is a hit.
