By Alan Jadson

If you've been making beats for some time, you will be conscious that there are occasions when your energy and creativity levels are high, while there are more instances when it's really difficult to keep yourself galvanized to create good work.

Whenever things are going well, it can be simple to make sure you're manufacturing fascinating beats. When things don't seem to be going well, all of it can frequently go from bad to worse, and will often keep doing so.

If you are not feeling too creative, it can be a brilliant idea to take a break, if you are able to. Sometimes, it will also help to take a little time out, away from the beat making software. This could permit your brain to recharge. If you come at things fresh, you could find that ideas start flowing again.

Actually intense work, like mixing down a very important track, can have a massive effect on your capability to write new material. If you are having a lot of difficulty with this, it could be worth pondering the way in which you structure your producing and writing work. As an example, if you find mixing drains you, try and prepare things so you do it in a managed block, away from your writing time.

It can also help you to get your talents flowing again, if you try something different. Experimenting, without expecting something to come of it, often provides decent results, as well as a method to stretch the brain in a new direction. Testing different genres or styles can help you with your main beat writing work, almost all of the time.

Remember there will be masses of instances when you will have tops of energy and creativity. Try to be sure you get the most from those periods, without burning yourself out. You can attempt to work out when you tend to be at your best, but do not build up too many expectancies, as to when you will be at your top. Too much build up can kill your creativeness as a beat maker.
