Queen's famous Bohemian Rhapsody and the implications on Today's Top Music

By John Parcel

Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics have baffled the masses for many decades. A few individuals say that the writer of the track just played with useless words to think up the lyrics to the song. Others offer cerebral meaning behind the famous tune. The rest insist that Bohemian Rhapsody words are literal in its meaning with no significance to any person.

Bohemian Rhapsody is still hugely famous 38 years after it was originally released by Queen. Check out the complete Bohemian Rhapsody history. Queen was a well-known rock'n'roll band lead by the lead vocalist Freddie Mercury. It was Freddie Mercury who wrote the lyrics to the track Bohemian Rhapsody as a sort of mock opera. The word Bohemian describes a bunch of folks who lived by their own set of rules and defied normal standards. Rhapsody is a variety of classical music which has an irregular form. This title superbly describes the track because it's a song that defied ordinary song writing standards in its time. Bohemian Rhapsody doesn't have the normal chorus and includes multiple fashions of musical genre. It certainly is bizarre, but it is in no way a horrid song. Actually it is considered one of the best rock'n'roll songs of all time.

The words of the track indicate a young man who've just committed a murder and confessed the deed to his mum. The track also showcased the young man's fights to accept the unvarnished reality of the situation and to face the effects of his actions. During his moment of struggle, he faced internal non secular conflicts of good and malignant.

The young man in the song showed utter remorse after doing the grievous act. It perfectly describes people in the same situation. The situation doesn't necessarily mean murderous acts but can suggest anything that is similarly unpleasant. For a person to show such remorse, it psychologically means that the person often is morally upright. The crime that was committed was surely a crime of passion; unintended and random. The skepticism and attempts to accept fact that the young man in the track had experienced can happen to anyone in real life.

The murder that is seriously discussed in the track should not be taken only in a literal way. The murder can basically mean the loss of innocence. It may also mean straying from own religious belief and accepting a new way of life. If we compare the words to Freddie Mercury's life, the implication can imply that murder pertains to the finish of his former self to accept the homo way of life. Freddie Mercury famously finished his seven-year relationship with a lady to start his first gay relationship. As we step back and look at his young life, Freddie grew up as a devotee to the faith Zoroastrianism. This faith condemns homosexuality and compares it to worshipping the devil. Due to this implication, it is understandable why Mercury compared homosexuality with murder. He must have fought with his sexuality all his life. At the end, he accepted his true self and prepares himself to face the effects of his actions. He must have regretted injuring his family and his previous girlfriend with his actions. During the 1960's and 1970's, homosexuality is a taboo subject and its strategy for living isn't accepted by the great majority of the population.

In the end, we can only speculate the meaning behind Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics. The writer of the song never revealed its true meaning during his life. FReddie famously announced in one interview that the lyrics are about relations, but he never did exhibit any precise relationship.

Wretchedly enough, the genuine meaning of the tune is with its writer, six feet below the ground.
