The Best Paul Rudd Roles Up To This Point

By Derek Cooper

These days, there are a handful of actors who seem like they appear in every movie. One of those people is definitely Paul Rudd. This funny and likable actor has been around for at least 15 years, but it was only recently that his popularity exploded to new heights. Ask any 20 something year old girl who their favorite funny actors are you are likely to hear Paul Rudd as one of their answer.

But which of his movies are the best? Here are some of my favorite Paul Rudd movies of the past few years.

The first movie on this list that I will discuss is Knocked Up. There is nothing not to like about this movie. It is hilarious and an overall feel good comedy. This movie also stars Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen and is directed by Judd Apatow.

Clueless definitely makes the list as well. Guys and girls alike who grew up in the 90s can appreciate the brilliant satire that this movie is. If you are looking for a nostalgic comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously, look no further.

Wet Hot American Summer is another film that Rudd stars in that is absolutely hysterical. This film never got the exposure it deserved, maybe in part due to the fact that it was very limited in release. In fact, I'm not sure if it was ever in theaters at all.

Another fantastic film that Paul Rudd stars in is the recently released I Love You, Man. Rudd stars as an engaged man who realizes that he has no male friends to invite to his wedding and then finds Jason Segal. It is hilariously awkward and enjoyable.

Finally, the last movie that makes the cut for me is Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. When you want to talk about classic comedies ten years down the road, I have no doubt that Anchorman will be in the discussion.

As it stands, this is my list of the best Paul Rudd films thus far. There is no doubt that he will star in some hilarious comedies for years to come.
