The Outlandish Fashion of 70s Celebs.

For women the 1970s, fashion was all about flares, mini dresses, maxi dresses, hot pants, platform shoes, along with opaque tights and knee high boots. Men were just as fashionable, modelling bell bottomed trousers, funky hair styles and all in one bodysuits.

The most fashionable celebrities of the 1970s were film stars. Grease was a massive hit of the decade, telling a love story filled with laughter, music and memorable outfits. Co-stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton John stunned audiences with tight leather apparel and their hip-thrusting. Grease made them two of the most fashionable celebrities in the 1970s. The original Charlie's Angels girls and Fonz from the hit U.S show 'Happy Days', also created a stir due to their fashion tastes.

The music industry was booming in the 1970s, and as a result, many of the popular music artists and singers became famous for their fashion sense as well their musical talents. The Jackson 5 were one of the most iconic bands to emerge in the 1970s. Male fans were awe in them and female fans loved them. The Jackson 5's iconic look included a huge afro and bell bottoms.

Elvis created a stir in both the fashion industry and music industry in the 1970s. Modelling a huge, slick quiff teamed with flared bodysuits, he was a huge icon of this era. The nation was in mourning when he died early in his life. The band the Bee Gees were another iconic band to emerge in the 1970s, loved for their music and fans would copy their look of bell bottoms, long hair and even longer facial hair.

The most fashionable celebrities of the 1970s created a stir amongst the media. Everywhere fans were idolising their favourite movie and music stars, copying their fashionable attire to show their admiration in the most flattering way. The 1970s was such a predominant fashion era that 70s styles still feature regularly on the catwalk today.
