Guidance About TVs On Sale

By Veronica Gates

3D TV is all the rage right now and it hasn't even come onto the market. We have to wait until this spring to see what kind of product will be created to bring 3D into our homes. The LG LD360 is one of the first such products on the market and it looks like a sleek and exciting option.

The trend will explode this year with companies such as Sony and Hitachi putting their own goods out soon enough. LG is defiantly doing it with style, using a graceful design and a formidable size.

The TV itself is offered in one massive size of 47' and is made with an LCD screen. So this is an impressive move, since it will certainly create a mini theater in the home. This also means that you will have to invest a serious amount of cash, and there are no other options. If you live in a tiny apartment that won't house such a massive device, you will have to wait until the competition catches up and other sizes are available to you.

The only thing that is said about the actual price of this TV is that it will be expensive. It is one of the first of its kind, so the novelty of being the proto-type will also carry into the factor. An LCD screen alone of that size is over 2000$ so we can only gasp at what the figures could be.

The new TV is using what LG calls passive 3D technology. This means that they will sell you the TV but you will also have to buy the 3D glasses in order to get the full experience. This might be the trends down fall considering the general consumer these days wants everything in one package, without having to buy different gadgets to accompany the fun.

Another factor is that there are different types of technology that create the 3D effect with these glasses so some research as to the best for TV is advisable. LG reassures us that we only need simple and affordable ones to go with this product so it shouldn't complicate things too much.

Having a 3D TV also means that you will have to want to search the various TV stations out there offering 3D. There are a few channels that will emerge, such as SkyLife, who will be compatible with the product that LG is offering. Other popular channels will also get on board such as ESPN and Discovery, leaving the viewing options abundant.

Television has come a long way and it looks like it is going an extra leap. Bringing the semblance of a theater into the home is an exciting thought, and the LG LD360 is going to do just that. One serious downside is the purchasing of extra glasses. It is only a matter of time until there are TV's that don't need this accessory.
